Hi, I’m Naomi Priscilla Peters

I am a Potawatomi/Chippewa (Ojibwe) member of the Caldwell First Nation.  Recently, I graduated from Tyndale University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Arts (English Major/Psychology Minor) and I have been drawing for over a decade.

In my indigenous animal series, I hope to portray culturally important animals in a meaningful and beautiful way. I take inspiration both from traditional indigenous stylings and nature. To name them, I always use the Ojibway language, sometimes as a direct translation and some with their own unique titles. My wish is to depict these beautiful creatures as I see them and hope that people find enjoyment through my art.
